چکیده

Objectives: A tibial tubercle-trochlear groove (TT-TG) distance of 20 mm is typically used when determining whether tubercle anteromedialization (AMZ) needed for patellar instability. TT-TG distance, however, may depend on the internal/external (IE) rotation tibia in relation to femur, which not controlled for. Without knowledge variability an individual’s influenced by femorotibial rotation, use a specific during pre-operative planning instability lead incorrect decisions AMZ. We hypothesized that knee joint IE related distance. Methods: total 8 independent human cadaveric specimens (age: 32±6; 4 males, females) were utilized. robotic manipulator (ZX165U, Kawasaki Robotics, Wixom, MI, USA) instrumented with universal force/moment sensor was determine under applied moments ±5Nm at full extension. Two reviewers selected trochlear and tuberosity points CT images each specimen define (ICC=0.969). To influence TT-TG, 3D models generated from scans registered tibiofemoral kinematics. Subsequently, linear regression performed relationship between TT-TG. Regression coefficient standard error measurement (α=0.05), determination (r2) reported. Results: Knee averaged 23.0 ± 4.2°. changed 12.1 2.8 over this range. For every degree 0.52 0.07 (p<0.001 r2>0.987). At neutral 14.21 5.0 mm. Conclusions: highly dependent changing rotation. Thus, offset 10° would change 5.2 mm, enough alter surgical decision making or against Physicians should pay close attention measuring their patients, specifically patients found have near key indication treatment [Table: see text][Table: text]

Systematic technique-dependent differences in CT versus MRI measurement of the tibial tubercle-trochlear groove distance.

BACKGROUND The tibial tubercle-trochlear groove (TTTG) distance is used to quantify the degree of lateralization of the patellar tendon insertion on the tibial tubercle relative to the deepest part of the trochlear groove. Disagreement exists as to whether the TTTG distance measured on computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be considered equivalent. PURPOSE To compa...

the normal value of tibial tubercle trochlear groove distance in patients with normal knee examinations using mri

abstract patellar instability is a multifactorial common knee pathology that has a high recurrence rate, and the symptoms continue and ultimately predispose the patient to chondromalacia and osteoarthritis. tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove distance (tttg) is very important in the assessment of patellofemoral joint instability. the purpose of this study was to report normal value of tttg in ma...

The Influence of Tibial Tuberosity-trochlear Groove Distance on Development of Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome

Background: Tibial tuberosity-trochlear groove distance (TT-TGD) measurements play a decisive role in evaluatingpatellofemoral joint disorders. However, the prevalence of pathological TT-TGD among patients with patellofemoralpain remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to compare the size of TT-TGD among patients with patellofemoralpain syndrome (PFPS) and those with no history of patell...
